A Sunny Day at The Mansion
by markcowlin
I absolutely adored shooting this wedding -it was almost my ideal wedding – a perfect sunny day, great locations, light that we photographers drool over, the most wonderful couple ever, amazing families, and a big party. Bridget & Nick’s wedding was amazing and (especially exciting to me) they wanted most of their images in black & white. Weddings are a colorful event and so color couldn’t be ignored. but black & white imagery was to take more than equal share. This for me was a dream come true. I’ve posted more images over on my website, but this little collection should give you an idea of how perfect this day was. It was also my last wedding in the city of Denver and as such I was extremely pleased to have such a wonderful group of people in a luxuirous setting with which to sign off from the city.

Gorgeous photos Mark – are you moving?
Thanks. There’s two more weddings to post and that’s it, because yes, we’re moving. Shannon got a job with the Asian Development Bank as an energy specialist and we are off to New Delhi for up to three years. The kids are the right age to move them, and the adventure will be something to remember. Mum & dad have visited us here some, but no one else so we realize that it doesn’t matter where we live. My dad just got cancer and his recovery (which looks good) will take so long that we may as well just follow our own crazy path and aim to get home more often. I’ll fill you in on the details soon. I hope you are all well. I miss you, but hopefully now we are moving we can arrange to meet up when we come home next summer.
